Satori Karate

Satori is a Shito-Ryu/Shukokai based karate club, which teaches traditional and sport karate. It was founded in 1989 by Sensei Alister Macalister.

Satori Glasgow is run by Sensei David Campbell, who started training with the kobe-osaka at the age of 4 under the instruction of Tommy Morris, Steven Morris and Alister Macalister, after a short space of time karate became David’s life progressing through the grades. At the age of 7 he was introduced to competition, competing in both kata and kumite winning titles at both disciplines all over the world for kobe-osaka, at 14 he started training with the national team for kumite and decided this was his path, training every class he could, under the guidance of close friend and mentor Steven Morris. David parted from Kobe-Osaka in 2007 and now runs 25 classes per week for Satori throughout Glasgow.

At Satori we incorporate elements of other martial arts (Jutsu, Judo, Jujitsu and many others) to help you to develop your skills as a martial artist.
